The year was 1967 and saw the Dino 246 appear under its own marque and not that of Ferrari, despite being named after Enzo’s son. It’s always a joy and a privilege when a car of this stature arrives at the Wombat PPF workshops as it’s a valuable reminder of the origins of the modern-day supercar that we so often work with. This classic Ferrari Dino 246 was sent to us, at Wombat PPF, from a leading UK Ferrari agent who had the Dino 246 rebuilt by Ferrari themselves. This showed huge trust in Wombat PPF as the approximate value of this rare Dino 246 was £750,000.00. The PPF team at Wombat PPF were asked to prepare the Ferrari paintwork followed by a full vehicle detail and finally apply a full Xpel Ultimate Plus paint protection film to the bodywork. However, due to the Ferrari’s age and exclusivity, there were no pre-prepared PPF patterns and thus, it was handed to the Wombat PPF team to make their own bespoke PPF patterns . This was not an easy task for a rare Ferrari with such curves and range of changing body panels. Each Xpel PPF panel had to be crafted by our PPF team as we progressed through the project with each PPF application having to fit perfectly to ensure that the PPF was invisible.
